Subsidiaries & affiliates » Representation in New YorkIn february 2007 IBA Board makes a decision on establishment of representation of the International Bank of Azerbaijan in New York, United States of America. In jule 31, 2008 Bank has prepared all required documents and received US Federal Reserve Board's permission and Representative office was opened in New York on 2nd of January 2009. Significance of such establishment is caused by expansion of cooperation volumes with American banks.
Mission:
- Improvement and development of trade and economic relations between USA and Azerbaijan
- Realization of mother company’s interests and search new opportunities for business expansion in America
- Expansion IBA’s partners database by attracting new correspondents
- Improvement of the relationships with correspondent banks through finding and realization new projects and business opportunities
Activities:
- Improvement and development of trade-economic relations between United States of America and Azerbaijan Republic
- Realization and preparation of projects related to the export financing from America to Azerbaijan
- Realization and preparation of structured projects
- Improvement of IBA’s relationships with correspondent banks and corresponding network optimization
- Improvement of terms and conditions for short-term financing (documentary business)
- Improvement and development IBA’s funding base by attracting new projects, products and investment mechanisms such as short-term, medium-tem and long-term investment programmes (Syndicated Loans, Eurobonds, Assets Backed Secutiries)
- Analysis of banking market of USA (banking products, institutional development of American banks and etc.)
- Analysis of financial sector of USA (leasing, insurance business, assets management and etc.)
- Assistance and consulting of American and Azerbaijanian companies in order to find business counterparts in USA and in Azerbaijan
- Expansion of relations with corresponded banks, companies, state organizations and holdings
- Operative decisions in relations with clients (problems solving, distribution of information, etc)
- Development of IBA’s subsidiaries network and intermediation of interest of subsidiaries in Europe
- Study of banking laws of USA and analysis of opportunities for establishment IBA’s subsidary bank on basis of representative office
