Presidential Decree №-545, dated January 10, 1992 transformed the Bank
into a joint-stock bank with the government as a major stockholder.
National Bank of Azerbaijan issues a general banking license to the Bank
on December 30, 2002.

The Bank becomes a co-founder and a full member of the Baku Interbank
Currency Exchange.

The Bank obtains memberships with the international payment system Europay
International and International information-dealing system Reuters.
The international rating agency Fitch IBCA assigns a "B" rating
to the Bank.

The bank becomes a member of SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial
Telecommunications).

The Bank adopts a Universal Banking policy which envisages supply of
a possible widest range of classic and modern services to all groups of
population, both individual and corporate customers.
The Bank becomes a co-founder of AzeriCard processing company and introduces
plastic card services.

Bank starts issuing plastic cards of Europay/MasterCard International
payment system.
The Bank becomes a principal member of VISA International payment system.
The Bank opens a representative office in Moscow, the financial centre
of CIS.
The Bank starts installing an ATM network of its own.

The Bank becomes a full member and a co-founder of the Baku Stock Exchange.

| 2001 |
For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan's banking sector, the
Bank obtains a 6 year syndicated loan from a consortium of Austrian banks
led by Raiffeizenbank.

| 2002 |
The international rating agency Fitch IBCA assigns a "B+ positive"
rating to the Bank.
The Bank becomes the founder and the only owner of the country's largest
insurance company in terms of paid-in capital, the International Insurance
Company (paid-in capital of USD 5 million).
The Bank establishes a subsidiary bank, "International Bank of Azerbaijan
- Moscow" with a paid-in capital of EUR 10 million. This is the first
time an Azeri bank opens an actively operating subsidiary outside its
country of origin.
The Bank opens a representative office in London, Great Britain.

IBA-Moscow LLC opens a branch office in Saint-Petersburg.
IBA becomes a 100% shareholder of AzeriCard processing company.
